Facebook will double its advertising spend as it seeks to rebuild trust with users

Some analysts put the ad budget at $382 million, although Facebook doesn't release numbers on its ad spend. Facebook CMO, Antonio Lucio, said the company made some mistakes and it needs to rebuild trust with consumers which it will do by presenting both trust and value-focused messaging. It will move ahead with its five creative agencies including Weiden+Kennedy who will continue working on Facebook's app, while Droga5 (recently acquired by Accenture Interactive) works on Facebook's corporate brand and mission, and Leo Burnett takes care of Facebook Messenger, Ogilvy for Instagram, and BBDO for WhatsApp. Ad News
