OpenGov raises $51M to fund growth efforts with cloud-based IT services for local government. The company, co-founded by Palintir’s Joe Lonsdale helps local government and other civic organizations organize, analyze and present financial and other data using its cloud-based tools. OpenGov claims more than 2,000 governments as customers including the States of W. Virginia and Oklahoma, and the city of Minneapolis, MN. OpenGov’s board includes John Chambers, formerly CEO and Chairman of Cisco Systems, Marc Andreesen of A-list VC firm Andreesen-Horowitz, and others. The firms platform, called OpenGov Cloud, is used by roles ranging from city planners to finance specialists. Tech Crunch
