Microsoft, Dell, and Samsung continue development of foldable devices in squishy market

Microsoft, Dell, and Samsung continue development of foldable devices in squishy market. New updates for the foldable devices market emerged including Samsung’s announcement of a second device that collapses down to shirt-pocket size that opens up to 6.7 inches. Dell received a patent for and continues development of its dual-screen device powered by Windows 10. Microsoft and Intel are setting standards for dual-screen notebooks and seeking to extend the standards to foldable smartphone devices, too. The market for these devices is unclear at this early stage, even as industry leaders promote them as the newest innovation in an otherwise mature and slowing laptop and smartphone market. GeekWire
