Workplace by Facebook redesign - what users need to know

Workplace by Facebook redesign - what users need to know. One of Workplace’s biggest advantages was that it looked just like the consumer version of Facebook, making it easy for enterprise employees to adopt it. But, work communication and collaboration has different requirements, so Workplace updated the app, notably with a new left-hand navigation bar giving quick access to high-value, work-specific functions: home, notifications, and chat. This small visual change dramatically changes the work habits of users, but Facebook says extensive testing shows users agree that the updates are useful, once they’ve gotten used to them. Workplace is free for nonprofits. It is used by 30,000 companies including Walmart, Nestle, and Vodafone. Engadget
