Researchers are using AI to track student performance in online courses

Researchers are using AI to track student performance in online courses. The three researchers from the University of Copenhagen looked evaluated student activities that are part of and surround the students’ participation in online learning courses using AI. They learned a number of new, valuable insights like students who spend extra time with the online learning systems after school hours do not show any real test performance boost. Students studying the sciences spent a disproportionate amount of time reading while language studies students improved test scores when they included time with quizzes and working on the online platform during school hours. The team aims to assemble these findings into a system that works alongside the online platform to build learning programs personalized to each student and their area of focus. Venture Beat
