Agency CEO forges a unique philanthropy model using Twitter to support teachers and vets

Agency CEO forges a unique philanthropy model using Twitter to support teachers and vets. Scott Levy, CEO of digital agency Fuel Online uses his Twitter account (@FuelOnline) to distribute donations and Amazon gift cards to those who need help. One of his campaigns, #ClearTheList asks teachers to create Amazon Wishlists of products they need to set up classrooms at the beginning of the school year. Many teachers pay $500 or more of their own money to supply their classrooms. Levy discovers teachers in need on Twitter via the hashtag and then distributes small, individual grants to each teacher to “clear their list of supplies” i.e. pay for their supplies. Levy’s agency started in 1997 and is one of the leading agencies working with Fortune 500 companies on digital marketing. Levy is working with a vet organization, Code of Vets, using the same Amazon Wishlist + Twitter model. Press Release
