YouTube is testing a new program to let creators appeal bans with a short video

YouTube is testing a new program to let creators appeal bans with a short video. YouTube creators whose ad privileges have been revoked can now appeal the decision by posting a short video. The video should outline the channel’s content and explain their creative process. The videos are reviewed by YouTube and an assessment on whether ad monetization can be turned back on will be returned within seven days. The creator appeal videos can be submitted immediately, rather than waiting 30 days as with the old rules. The new appeal process looks to be aimed at more innocuous content infractions like “repetitious” content rather than misinformation or harmful or abusive content. The Verge
