Philadelphia police are first to be fired for racist Facebook posts

Philadelphia police are first to be fired for racist Facebook Group posts. 13 Philadelphia police officers will be fired after a 30-day suspension for their racist, homophobic posts on Facebook. The officers are the first of the 3,500+ identified by the Plain View Project, which published public Facebook posts by former and active police officers that appeared to endorse racism, homophobia, xenophobia, Islamophobia, general violence, and police brutality. Police departments in five states are investigating their police officers’ social feeds. Axios
