After a 1-year beta period, YouTube Giving is rolling out to all users this week. With YouTube Giving, creators and nonprofits can create and embed a fundraising campaign next to videos or live streams. Giving displays a Donate button just below the video on the creator’s or nonprofit’s channel, and when users click on the donate button they can give directly through YouTube’s native donation function and payment processing. Giving also supports matching gifts, and Super Chats for Good. The Super Chat feature lets viewers pay a small fee to boost the prominence of their comments in a live stream, while the charity element allows fans to have their Super Chat fees go to the creator’s designated charity.
