Facebook updates data users can see about ads targeted to them. The “Why am I seeing this ad?” experience includes more details about why they are being targeted by an ad with interests and categories. Specifically, users can see details about third-party data brokers and agencies providing data to Facebook for targeting, and the advertisers using that information to target ads at the user. Users also can see more targeting details like the interests and categories that matched them to the ad, and where that information came from, ex. visited a particular site or Liked a Facebook page.
