Google Cloud acquired Elastifile to expand its cloud-based file storage capabilities. Enterprise applications need access to highly available and consistent file storage and Elastifile specializes in providing this service. Elastifile’s software-defined approach to managed Network Attached Storage (NAS) simplifies the management and scaling of data-intensive app workloads, and enables businesses to quickly build to “peta-byte” scale solutions. Elastifile includes key features like multiple service tiers for flexibility costing, hybrid cloud and cross-cloud capability, and snapshots and multi-zone capability, and more.
