Google launches Data Set Search to help businesses find data repositories on the web. Machine learning, AI and analytics requires large data sets for training and benchmarking, and with the rapid rise of these technologies, there is a growing demand to find and use existing Internet data. Data Set Search helps find datasets where they're hosted - on a publisher's site, a digital library, or an author's personal webpage. Google based the search on an open standard, schema.org that describes the data, and anyone wanting to share a data set should use this standard.
