In today's edition of Software: 

The Democratic National Committee is asking candidates to use Apple iPhones instead of Android mobile phones. In an effort to avoid an attack like the alleged Russian hack of its servers in the 2016 election, the DNC is asking candidates to stop using Chinese ZTE and Huawei Android smartphones. The change follows the US intelligence community's warning that ZTE is used by the Chinese government to conduct espionage and a similar report about Huawei from Reuters news agency.  NBC News
