In today's edition of <ALL THINGS> Software:

Bitgive Foundation launches donation tracking solution - GiveTrack - using blockchain technology. Bitgive, a 501(c)3 organization based in Truckee California originally provided grants for international aid projects using Bitcoin cryptocurrency. The new GiveTrack product uses Bitcoin and the underlying blockchain so donors can trace their gift on a public platform in real time to see how funds are spent and the impact of their donation. The use of blockchain and cryptocurrency also reduces the donation transaction costs, and cryptocurrency can be delivered anywhere in the world. Blockchain technology is being used in many sectors - legal, financial, insurance, health, and others. Here is a good 3rd party explainer video for blockchain in charity. LeapRate
