Research published reveals fewer people are turning to social media for news in the U.S. and other markets. Reuters Institute at the University of Oxford reveals that the proportion of people who said they used social media for news within the past week fell 6% to 45% compared to last year. Most of the change is connected to Facebook, where news consumption on the platform fell 9% nationally, and 20% among younger audiences. Reuters Institute
