Nonprofit Buddy Project delivers on its mission via social media and has helped 225,000 teens in its first five years. The organization, started by then 15-year old Gabby Frost (now 20) promotes mental health awareness and suicide prevention. It's core service pairs teens with a buddy on Twitter to talk about mental health issues they may be experiencing. The official Buddy Project Twitter account has 180,000 followers, and its Instagram account has over 20,000 followers. Frost runs the organization from her college dorm room (she's a music industry major), and has received awards and honors from George Washington University, Glamour, Harvard, and was named to Her Campus 22 under 22 Most Inspiring Campus Women of 2017.
