Facebook process for verifying physical location of large audience accounts.

 

In today's edition of ALL THINGS Social Media:

Facebook requires accounts with 'large audience' to verify their physical location. Accounts flagged for verification have a couple weeks to validate their physical location using location services on their phone to verify their country and enable two-factor authentication on their account. According to Facebook, "the goal here is to make it even harder to administer a page with a fake account." Facebook isn't defining the exact size of "'large audience' accounts impacted, There is no indication that nonprofits will be excluded, so Facebook admins at US charities need to be aware of this new requirement, and ready to comply. Mashable
